Change Your Focus

Last Thursday morning, I woke up with a spark of motivation to make a change. I am a middle-aged woman who happens to fall prey to emotional eating. So, I submitted to the motivation and the encouragement of the Holy Spirit and came up with a plan of action to make a change.

It was nessasary to change my food intake but more importantly I knew I had to get rid of what my flesh is desiring (worry, the comfort zone, making emotional decisions). Replacing it with healthier food and spiritual food is a non-negotiable I need right now.

“And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?” ~Matthew 6:30 {NLT}

Since I began working towards change my focus improved, I feel lighter physically and mentally and the worry was replaced with more time reading my Bible and a new assignment to pray about.

What about you? Are you weighed down from life, relationships, work or the lack of relationship with God the Father? Do you need to detox from worry, feeling insignificant, fear and or anxiety from your life? If so, I pray that you also will receive a spark within you to make a change in your life. Losing a couple of pounds when needed is a good feeling. Losing mental and emotional weight, now that’s life changing!
