Unexpected Surprise

Life has a way of throwing curve balls. So does God, but his curve balls are with you in mind and come with an expected end. There is an abundance to learn about Almighty God. Allow me to share with you what I learned this week about the power and sovereignty of God.

For two years, I have been on a journey with God desiring to know his love in a deeper way and being 100% dependent on him. I know for a fact the younger me who had to be dependent on self and the adult woman who conformed to being the independent superwoman, had to surrender those idols of self to God the father, in order to experience a new relationship with him.

This new reality of life absolutely caused opposition with fear, anxiety, trying to make things happen myself and legit shaving my head sometimes when the intensity of it all was hard to bear. One consistent prayer was concerning my grandchild, my need for God to keep me from losing my life necessities while on this journey, which is my mindset led by fear, by the way.

The little Vernica in me was fighting to protect my grandbaby's wellbeing at all costs. Presently, all the toil has now reached today's harvest. When the unexpected surprise knocked on my door, I was able to use what God blessed me with and years of preparation, to become the very thing my now grandchildren needed.

Here's the lesson. God will use your moments of fear, weakness, and difficulty, like he did with the prophet Elijah. To accomplish his plan, not only for your benefit, but for your legacy as well. So when you need a deep cry and kicking and screaming, seems like a good idea, do it. But when you wipe the last tear, rise up from the mental and emotional bed of affliction.

Know that nothing takes Daddy God by surprise. He was with you then and he is with you now. His grace is sufficient for you. You are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus, and the Father will use every one of your concerns to give you an expected end.
